Here is our Out of Character (OOC) thread for the campaign. Feel free to talk about whatever you want in here as it pertains to the game. For starters, why don't we talk about characters? I've heard a bit from Scott on this topic. What are the rest of you thinking about?

Here is some character stuff: The PCsYour characters are agents of the army of Molthune, you are not regular soldiers, but are operatives that have been called upon in the past to perform clandestine operations for the Molthuni army. It is up to you how long you have been working together, but you've found that it is a good deal for you. Maybe you genuinely like the other PCs, maybe you like the steady paycheck, the danger, or maybe you want to see Molthune succeed in its expansionist goals. Your last mission was the delivery of a hefty bribe to a band of freedom fighters in neighboring Isger. Upon returning to Canorate, the capital of Molthune, you were directed to travel to the border settlement of Fort Ramgate. MolthuneMolthune is a LN military oligarchy that splintered away from the Empire of Cheliax. Less than a generation later, the nation lost half its landmass when the nation of Nirmathas declared its independence from Molthune. The two nations have been sporadically at war ever since. On its other borders, Molthune is surrounded by powerful neighbors. Culturally, the people of Molthune fall into two groups: city dwellers and laborers. The city dwellers, also known as "Imperial Citizens," they may move about freely, participate in the government and foreign trade. The laborers are largely indentured servants that farm and perform common work. Some resent this, some take pride in being a small part of the larger whole. Recently, the Imperial Governor announced that any laborer can become a citizen by serving the Army for 5 years. This means that some of the soldiers are "Imperial Citizens" and others are laborers looking to improve their lot. Molthune is overwhelmingly human though the Molthuni army readily absorbs foreigners and even monstrous troops as long as they follow orders. Other Places You Might Be From (by Race)Dwarves: Probably come from Highhelm in Druma, the capital of the largest Dwarven settlement on Golarion. If not Highhelm, then you may come from the Koldar Mountains, a spattering of outlaw, outcast, and sometimes lunatic dwarves, or from The Mindspin Mountains, where settlements of miners and trappers explore the mountains looking for geological phenomena. Elves: Elves likely come from the insular nation of Kyonin where their adventurous spirit simply did not fit in, or from Varisia, where your people have been trying for years to reclaim their haunted city Celwynvian. Gnomes: Are most likely from the settlement of Umok in Isger where you battled Goblins for some time, or Omesta a tree-top village in Kyonin. Halflings: Having no homeland of their own, a halfling character might come from Cheliax where they are likely a slave, or treated like one or Isger where the situation is similar but a little less hateful. Halflings in Molthune are slaves, but, can join the military to become free, and live a better life than their peers in Cheliax or Isger. Half-Elves, Half-Orcs, and Humans: If you are not from Molthune, you could be a disgruntled Nirmathi (though you'll probably be treated with some suspicion since, y'all are at war), Druma which is known as the Merchant's Paradise, Isger a country protected by Cheliax, or Cheliax an infernalist empire trying to recapture its former glory. You could also, probably be from Varisia a wild frontier nation where a lot of Pathfinder action happens, or Nidal which is a nation ruled by the shadowy "Umbral Court," and is a generally... evil place. Particularly Orc-like half-orcs could be from the Hold of Belkzen an area rather than a nation filled with bloodthirsty orc tribes. I think that's it... if you have Qs lemme know.

So I am playing a Synthesist Summoner, how would you like me to put that into the character sheets on mystweaver?

Scott - So. There IS a Dwarven pantheon, but I haven't been able to find a place where they have been given the full deity treatment (domains, etc.) Here are the three best deities for this game, for a LG Dwarven Inquisitor. What follows that is a list of other Dwarven deities. Torag, the father of Dwarves. He's LG, his domains are Artifice, Earth, Good, Law, and Protection. Here is his holy symbol: Abadar, the Judge of the Gods. He's LN, his portfolio is cities, wealth, merchants, law. His domains are Earth, Law, Nobility, Protection and Travel. He is widely worshiped by Dwarves outside of Dwarven settlements, and is a popular Molthuni deity. Here is his symbol: Iomedae, the Light of the Sword. She's LG, her portfolio is valor, rulership, justice, and honor. Her domains are Glory, Good, Law, Sun and War. Her symbol is here: Other Dwarven Deities: Angradd (aggressions/warfare), Bolka (love/marriage), Dranngvit (evil), Droskar (evil), Folgrit (motherhood/children), Grundinnar (peace/civility), Kols (oaths), Magrim (the afterlife), Trudd (strength/guardianship) Note: Most of these gods are somehow related to Torag. Grant - Ship. I knew I forgot something. I don't typically allow synthesist summoners in point-buy games, because, you can basically circumvent the point-buy aspect by dumping all your physical stats and putting all of your points into your mental stats, as well as the general feeling of OP that comes from such characters. HOWEVER, I've never actually had one in a campaign, and I didn't warn anyone beforehand. So I'll allow it, this time. I think... you'll have to make two sheets. One for you and one for your eidolon... that seems like the easiest way.

Lol sorry Adam. I can make a different toon if you'd like. It just seemed so interesting since I usually play oracles.

Nah, go ahead and we'll give it a try. A lot of the time when I read about people whining about overpowered characters, I feel like the failings are on the part of the DM. I've been doing this for a long time, and I've never met a character I couldn't kill. Haha.

Short backstory: Turrok Chromebeard was an inquisitor of Abador, based out of Highhelm, assigned to track down a necromancer who had fled dwarven lands towards Molthune. For months, he chased this necromancer until finally he caught up, on the edges of a battlefield. As he waited for the battle to calm, that he might appeal to the authorities to assist him, Turrok caught sight of his foe assaulting the Molthuni lines. The necromancer slaughtered many of the men and reanimated them before he was outflanked and defeated by calvalry, although after the battle they never found the corpse. In guilt, and to help absolve his nation of any issues diplomatically resulting from the incident, Turrok has pledged himself to the temporary service of the nation of Molthune for <x> years. Other notes: I found stats for a riding gecko, under drow items. Can I buy one? I reserve the right to change that name. Holy symbols can be made into flasks, and filled with beer. I have taken this option. They never leave enough space for items on the character sheets. Technically, for only 250g, a traveler's any-tool can duplicate a 1000g spyglass or a 500g sextant.

I like the backstory.
You can buy a riding gecko, but I don't know how useful it will be to you sneaking around inside of a castle. I never knew about the any-tool, but it seems pretty freakin' cool.

So not entirely sure about my back story, but I am going to be a member of the pathfinder society. It is outlawed in Molthune however. So it is something that I keep very secret.
Other notes: I dont know

A little butcher billing on Scott and Grant's sheets:
Scott:
-- Noticed your HP was blank, figured I would help out with that since average HP is a little bit weirdly obtained. At first level you get full HD (in this case 8+Con). Then your "die roll" would have the result of 5, then 4, then 5. So your HP would be 22+(Con x 4) or 30 hp. Keep in mind that every level you take in your "favored class" you get +1 hp OR +1 skill point. Your choice at each level. Or the alternate stuff, which it looksl ike you took.
-- Could you do me a solid, and in the additional info area, list what is in some of your kits? Just the kits that are combinations of a la carte items (like the Inquisitor's kit)
Grant: -- Minor thing, your hit die is actually 4d8-4, but if you put your favored class bonus into HP, then we're good to go. -- Could you list your Eidolons evolutions somewhere on the sheet? Or am I missing it?
I'm not going over these with a fine-toothed comb, or anything, so I might be missing stuff. I'm just peeking to see if there are things missing that I need to know.
EDIT: and thanks for posting them. I'm excited to start.

Backstory: Orix spent the first 17 years of his life learning the ways of the ninja in a secret Dojo in a distant land. He spent his entire life without any knowledge of where he came from or who his family was because in the dojo it is taught that such connections are trivial and can obscure the path on one's search for their individual purpose and legacy. The sanctity of the art of the ninja, and one's own personal freedom are above all else in the dojo. Although he would never dare mention it to any of his ninja compatriots, there was always a lingering curiosity of his origins sitting in the back of Orix's mind. When the time came for Orix to leave the dojo and find his destiny, he was a given a small medallion and told it was his birthright. His only possessions were his weapons, the clothes on his back and this small clue as to where he came from. He spent many years wandering the world and had many super-cool ninja adventures along the way. He was residing in a small settlement in Varsia when he was recruited by Molthune. Some soldiers of Molthune were returning from a conflict when they witnessed Orix triumph over a small band of rogue Gnolls that had been harassing the nearby villagers. That was two years ago now. He views his time spent as an agent of Molthune as an opportunity to improve his skills and perhaps find some clue as to where he came from.

Alright guys, given that Scott has not posted in a few weeks, and I have heard directly from themightyhogarth that he will be unable to play with us, I think I am going to pause the game briefly after the next post I make in order to find two new people to join up. I apologize for the delay in my ability to post. The first week of classes is always killer for me. Scott, if you're still wanting to play, let me know, and I won't replace you. I'm not trying to be a dick.
