Build: Level 9; Point Buy 20; Any Faerun Race; Any Pathfinder Class; Any Alignment (Yes, really); 2 traits, one of which must be the campaign trait below; starting gold is 46,000 gp
Setting: Forgotten Realms (Faerun), Specifically the Vast Swamp of Cormyr
Adventure Background: The legend of the Tomb of Horrors is an old myth amongst treasure hunters and religious archivists. It is said to be the supposed resting place of Acererak, a terrible Demi-Lich who is became nigh indestructible through his powerful magic and demonic rituals. Buried with him are said to be great treasures and powerful artifacts, but none have ever returned from the Tomb alive to confirm the tale. Powerful adventurers and zealous priests have attempted to plunge into the depths of the Tomb, never to be heard from again. Few know of its location, and many doubt it even exists.... However, you have recently come across a piece of information that indicates it may not be a myth after all.
Information: This is a dungeon designed by one of the creators of D&D, Gary Gygax, as both a scoff to overconfident players and a test to the most intelligent. This is a puzzle themed dungeon. There are a minimal number of battles, and those that do exist require thinking to overcome. Survival is key here, and in order to overcome the dungeon, you will need a wide variety of capabilities. This isn't the time to whip out that barbarian who has an awe inspiring battleaxe strike and nothing else. When creating your character and buying equipment, try to think of things that will be useful rather than powerful. Note that this dungeon is unfair as well as unmerciful. Expect to die. You are welcome to bring a second character.
Campaign Trait: Good luck charm: Before or during your travels, someone who knew of your treacherous journey granted you a gift as a way of wishing you well. You begin play with a scroll of True Resurrection.
Bonus: Any player who can make it through the entire dungeon without dying once may keep their character for City of the Spider Queen, including any acquired treasure and experience.
